The film turns out to be rather complicated in terms of content and the message it is trying to convey. While the first half seems to be quite mild, it is just before the interval things begin to pick up pace. The second half has got twists in the tale but it is not until the end of the film that the entire confusion is revealed. By that time, the interest in the plot is let off by the audience. The technical and production values are amazing but the content and writing part has been a disappointment. The film might appeal a little to the urban audience but nothing for the masses.

Arya -2 is disappointment in every other way. Director Sukumar fails both as writer and director as his plotline is confusing and his hero’s characterization is negative. The film’s hero, Allu Arjun, acts like a psycho and his obsessive love and admiration towards heroine Kajal and his friend Navadeep evoke many suspicions. Although it starts off well, second half, especially towards the climax, is contrived.

First half is is not gripping due to lack of conflict point. The plus points of the movie are creative scenes, Allu Arjun, songs (dances) and technical values. On the flipside, psychotic orientation and confusion in hero’s characterization doesn’t get audiences involved in the movie intently. The runtime of the movie is also high. On a whole, Arya 2 is a different film that can appeal to A centers and class crowds.
