Arya 2 is no patch on Arya which was a huge success. Sukumar seems to have tried a so-called different storyline which is perplexing. It's only the first half of the film which makes for interesting viewing, otherwise the film is the usual routine stuff interspersed with some good dances and slick technical work.

the film has too many flaws in the first half. Brahmanadam's (as Dasavatharam) comedy track is boring. In fact, at many points the film seems ridiculous. Thankfully, everything is undone by the second 80 minutes, which you will want to watch again and again.

The technical and production values are amazing but the content and writing part has been a disappointment. The film might appeal a little to the urban audience but nothing for the masses.

The plus points of the movie are creative scenes, Allu Arjun, songs (dances) and technical values. On the flipside, psychotic orientation and confusion in hero’s characterization doesn’t get audiences involved in the movie intently. The runtime of the movie is also high. On a whole, Arya 2 is a different film that can appeal to A centers and class crowds.
